Can I get something like this for free? (PopUp)

    I enjoyed that site too.

    One script in there made a small little pop-up box that would gently materialize - a kind of pixelating appearance. The box color could be changed as well as how long it appeared. I think I make mine disappear in about 5 seconds.

    The one on the initial post link is a .gif, and I think dynamic drive has some tools for images too.

    It's not that hard to create these yourself. You simply make an image in Photoshop, place it into an absolutely positioned div using css, and make it turn invisible when the user presses the "X" button. Just do a search for:

    dhtml pop-up notes

    in Google and you should find tons of tutorials/information on it.
