No question about the popularity of the keyword phrase. It's the .me extension that is less than desirable. I don't recall any big .me sale except for ivf.me which sold for under $2K. But if you're looking to developa tech/software blog, I think it sounds like a pretty interesting idea. Also "softwarefree" rhymes with "me", sowho knows, it could work.
