Hi I have a new project under way and have just got a mascot for it. I'd be grateful if you took a look and gave me some feedback. The project is StreetArtNews.net and I think the mascot fits in with this nicely as it is a fox and that is quite urban and city. The problem that I had was that while the mascot itself is brilliant I don't think there is enough branding on the actual mascot. I was thinking, and maybe a T Shirt on the mascot would be a good idea. So I quickly stuck a few different versions on to see what they would look like. What do you think? Plain Mascot I Received Mascot with just a plain T Shirt With these three there are just some different colours with the website name on: T shirt + Writing T Shirt + Writing T Shirt + Writing What do you think? Plain? Plain T Shirt? T Shirt with writing? Thanks, Sophie P.S I wasn't sure where to post this...
red shirt gets my vote... but adding a backwards cap and baggy jeans would be even better, i think. did you make that mascot yourself or did someone design it for you?
I would also go with plain, if you have to shrink the mascot for any images you wont be able to read the text on the shirt
i would use the black T-shirt with writting. i'd also add clothes since your fox has a top, might as well put baggy pants on it hanging below the tail and a bandana/cap
Its a good start. The character doesnt really have a street vibe to it. Add some baggy clothes, denim and a large oversized white shirt with new york hand styles and some sneakers or something. Perhaps substitute a spray can or marker for the paint brush...
I think you need to revisit the concept, the mascot doesnt really fit in with what you are trying to do. Shouldnt he be holding a spray can if the website is promoting street art? If i had to pick out of those, this would it it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/32794597@N04/3283607699/ Good Luck!
i'm going to have to agree with the general consensus. while the mascot is cute, i don't think it really fits with your subject matter. if you use it, though, i also agree with a plain shirt, as the writing is too small to do much. i'm not sure about the idea of having him hold a spray-paint can instead of a brush, but it would at least be more relevant.
