Can I get my SEO Article published at Entireweb?

I've started writing original articles related to SEO and webmaster issues. Of course the idea behind all this article writing is to promote my website. What I'm looking for is can I get my article published in Newsletters like those of Entireweb, SEO-News, SiteProNews, WebProNews or similar related sites?

Has anybody here ever got their article approved and published in such Newsletters?

How much traffic can you expect from these newsletters if your article is published?

And how should I go about getting my article approved?

I was checking today and Entireweb has around 518,000+ registered users and according to them, approximately 1k more users sign up every day to their newsletter.

I contacted Entireweb a few days ago, when I started this thread here, but haven't heard from them yet.

Anyone here who can help me out? Anyone ever got their Article published in some Newsletter like Entireweb, SEO-News, SiteProNews etc?

I also browsed around but found this article on 'Copyright Theft Being Supported by EntireWeb' I'm not sure how true this is but would like to hear and learn more from all the webmasters here.

Ive just bought an ad space on one of their newsletters which goes out to their 500,000+ subscribers - be interesting to see if my banner and the people reading the newsletter will visit my site and if its worth the money of advertising on their newsletter. If it does turn out to be worth it, i might right an article on it and try and submit it to Entireweb :p

Thats great Sabian. Do let us know what kind of traffic and users you get from their newsletter once its sent to the subscribers. Also, how were your earnings affected from it...

512,000 is a mighty hefty count.

I wonder how many people "open" the mail and then "click" on the ads.

Well i get the newsletters obviously (thats how i know about it) and if i see a catchy title then ill read it - some of them are really rather interesting. On the other hand though there are quite a few that i dont read, that get piled up in a hotmail specific folder... advertising wise i don't know, i mean my banner placement that i have bought is the centre one right at the end of the article - this obviously means when the person finishes reading the article thats the last thing they see and hopefully means they will click it (as apposed to clicking a banner further up the page whilst reading the article).

How much was the ad you bought, if you don't mind saying?

Well it would have been $150 but they had a 25% off sale on over the xmas period (sale ended yesterday) - so i thought what the heck ill give it ago - think the final price was $110, so that means i only need 11 sales at my standard regular submission price $9.99 to make my money back. Although so saying i decided to get a listing on the 1st Feb so hopefully my PR should have settled back to 5 or even gone up to a 6 - so my link price will be more like $19.99 per regular link. In the grand scheme of things it shouldnt be hard to get 11 purchases from approximately 500,000 people potentially clicking my banner. Although i obviously understand that the number of people that click will be far, far smaller and that even if people visit that doesnt automatically mean a sale - however the traffic will obviously be very targeted due to the nature and content of the newsletters and people reading them.

Yeah, $110 doesn't sound too bad. If your product is "webmaster-related" it makes complete sense.

We both know that life doesn't always work like it should, though :)

Let us know how the response is when it runs. With a mailer, the results should be FAST.

Sure, I am subscribed to the newsletter... thats why I was thinking of sending an article to them.

As you mentioned, a few good articles with a catchy title do get attention. I also dont read all the newsletters, but some sure catch my attention.
