I dont speak English as my first language and I used "scat" to shorthen subcategory in my urls like h ttp://bla.com/scat/bla.html back then when I was building my site{s} should I revert them to subcat or something else?? But some pages are old and in the serps one way or another, I really hate mass url changes and 404s afterwards...
Yeah, it won't have any negative effect, no matter what you name your folders. The only reason to change it would be to get more keywords in your url and therefore possibly increase your serp rankings.
The reason hes asking if he can get in trouble for this, and if he should re-name it from scat is because scat by definition is animals feces, or "shit". I guess he was wondering if he can get in trouble for having his folder named with a synonym for feces, and my guess would be no that you wont get in any trouble - but i would e-mail adsense, and see what they say. You guys giving him help from a SEO standpoint need to re-read the question hehe.
Did you read the whole thread ? Now Iucpxleps ... You could hold on to these URLs, because they already have weight and age in Google. But you could implement some handy Mod_rewrite, and make you URL's even more SE friendly, like : http://www.domain.com/category/subcategory/index.html (naming category and subcategory with your actual category name).
