I have a domain in an account with globat and want to transfer it to a different registar as I don't trust globat they seem real dodgy, are there any registars that offer a free transfer service? Thanks for the help!

I have my domains at moniker.com but to transfer a name however free it is you need to renew it for at least one year. Their customer care is superb without being biased!

So I need to wait for the domain to almost expire before transfering it otherwise I will pay a full year fee even though it has only been registered a couple of months?

So does it add on? What I mean is my domain has 10 months left on it so will it mean I now have 1 year + 10 months if I choose to transfer?? BTW how much is it to renew with Moniker?

try something like Namecheap.com , you basically just pay $8.88 for the transfer and it would tag 12 months to your current expiry date. So you have nothing to lose by doing so.

I just saw godaddy is $6.95 according to their home page https://www.godaddy.com it does say for .com, so would this include other extensions? Also does anyone know of cheaper than this?

    Many thanks
