um, the audio quality on most youtube videos isn't that great, plus what you're suggesting is illegal, so I feel no need to help you really.

if there is lot of illegal content lurking around the web then we are responsible for it and to stop it we can stop contributing to it

you're either not really a supporter of the music industry, or totally misled and confused - but you can't be both seriously asking how you can rip low-quality audio out of protected content for you to use without a license and also be a supporter of the music industry. If you really cared about music you'd demand higher quality, and if you were a supporter of the industry you wouldn't be ripping it off from another site against their terms of service, and in many cases agains international copyright laws. Sorry, although I may know a way to help you, I won't tell you. Just the act of ripping audio from a streaming FLV isn't illegal, because it might be public domain or creative commons audio which would be legal to do that with, but the attitude you came in here with, and the obvious intent to do illegal stuff with the knowledge you're asking for would actually put us all at risk if you used the information we gave you so you could do illegal stuff with our knowledge. That's not something I want to be a part of, and as a member of these forums, I don't want this on here either.

I jus wonder how you guyz would be feeling about the admins of such websites... :lol: Anyway's i've started a new thread, on which i need some help, i hope now this is not illegal.. get to my profile for my latest post, i'm not allowed links and signatures yet! frankly speaking i did'nt knew extracting audio from YouTube is illegal, companies like Warner Music & Viacomm is pulling of their copyright protected content from YouTube (i guess this probably means YouTube itself is contributing to copyright infringement; now, please dont say that it's users like you and me who upload videos and YouTube has got nothing to do with that; i understand that part, but still YouTube can implement "checks" ) @innovati: i got couple of scripts that can do the job at my disposal, (but all are paid) but see i'm not interested in starting some full fledged site that offers this service.. i just wanted this script to test it on my server... got something to do with my "programming in linux" project wherein i need to complete this challenge, i jus thaught a script like that could offer some help... :lol: anywayz, still thanx for welcoming a new member at DP..
