I am looking to start making money online, I sit in front of a computer all day, and have money to invest, and I would like to get some help. What do most of you guys to that earns you so much in adsense revenue? Is there a good guide or walkthrough that would help me out? I have a warez forum right now, its my first real site, and it's not doing too good. I cannot put AdSense on it so I mgiht start a new kind of site and hope to make money. Any suggestions/tips? How do you guys make so much money? Thanks
1) Go to Google's Adsense site and read everything there, including the Terms and Conditions. 2) Read past posts on this forum. There's a wealth of information here that you'll miss by just asking questions. 3) You are right, warez sites won't be approved and forums don't do well in general with Adsense. 4) Understand that there are no "secrets" to quick success with Adsense. It's work, patience, constant learning, more work, more patience, and more learning. There is no "cookbook" to success. Every site is different. Some sites work, some don't.
I understand that, but I was looking for tips from people who are making alot of money with Adsense, obviously those are the people that are doing it right if they are making money. I can devote 7-8 hours a day to a website if needed. What would be an ideal site to make money with? I was thinking a Tech blog or something?
If you are going to devote that much time to it every day the ideal site is something that you are interested in. A Tech blog could work if you could provide good content. Everyone has a different story, but personally I have done ok by learning from trial and error. If you are interested in Tech topics I would start the blog and write some content and see what kind of results you get and just keep trying different things to see what works. There are tons of different things you can do to achieve the results you're looking for. Personally, I learn best by doing so I would go ahead and start the blog and read up on the forum for things that will help. Once you get started you can ask more experienced people to check out your site and help you along.
If you can devote that much time to it, I'd say you should spread it out over a couple sites. New and unique content is good, but you also need time. (Not your time, but time for other people to visit.) 1 hour a day over 8 days on a single site is better than 8 hours in 1 day on a single site. Even better is 1 hour a day over 8 days for 8 sites... if you get what I mean.
Does paid traffic count towards anything? I see people selling 10k hits for a fee, is that worth it or no?
Technical sites don't do well, in general, because technical visitors don't click ads. Blogs don't do well, in general, because visitors are usually repeat visitors who become ad-blind after the first few visits. The best sites are those for which you can create many, many content pages related to the topic -- and a topic that is of interest to a good portion of Internet users, is not a fad, and has a worldwide interest. The content must be unique and of good quality. Good SEO techniques must be used on each page to get search engine ranking and traffic. Unfortunately, there are no "secret" tips that will guarantee success. If there were, we would all know them, and everybody would be rich.
