Hi friends my blog gain almost 6500 backlink, now my blog PR is one. I am listening that google PR will update on last of October. So can I expect for increase my blog PR? another question is that how google award blog with PR?
Google has dropped PR importance to webmasters - so i urge all you people to stop chasing PR and concentrate on other things... PR is not at all important. Develop Backlinks but not with an importance to gain PR but to raise traffic... Hope this helps...
The important of PR is dropped fom Google officially, kept an eye if you can get the sitelinks, unique visitors, etc.
Actually Google will award your site a very good PR but you must still continue to build related links to your site?
if a site has 8 PR with completely irrelevant traffic, is no use; having relevant traffic is more important even if PR is 1. have good back links and just concentrate on that, and let Google do its job at whatever it is they wish to achieve with PR
This is absolutely true. I have a zero PR site. But the site has around 10 keywords in Top 10 in Google. What else do I need.
I agree! What counts most are the number of back links from relevant and DoFollow sites that you are getting. Quality is better than quantity right?
I would like to say quality backlinks would not only help in PR but also in SERP. A higher PR would not guarantee a nicer SERP. IMO. Don't wait for PR update, just keep building quality backlinks for your sites.
Google PR is not abolished, its not irrelevant, it is infact very relevant for most webmasters, those looking to monetize anyway. To answer the original poster, 6500 backllinks and pr 1 doesnt soound to gd to me, id expect higher, relevancy prob has something to do with that, pr of inlinks, or nofollow almost certianly does. Get yourself 10 links for pages with pr5+, ones that do follow and that dont have a hundred other links on them, you will grab some of that pr cake for yourself. Its the in thing to say that PR doesnt matter, its been said for years though obv, and thats just plain ballbags in my opinion, yes toolbar pr is old and outdated, so dont take too much notice, but no its not being dropped from the algos, and i dont think it ever will. Also i dont think it will ever been removed from the toolbar, its a brand thing for sure. PR does matter, why does it matter, well obv its part of the algo for your ranking, but more importantly, it is what other generally unsavvy webmasters use to decide whether they want to swop links. Got a pr 0 site, you get a few link requests, got a pr5 site in the same industry, you get 1000s of the swines (depending on the industry of course). of course its also what poss advertisers use as a quick reference to your site, sometimes the only thing. Its kinda llike a catch22 thing. Dont worry about pr, build good content, others will link to it, blah blah blah, yes thats true for some indsutrys and some sites, like news, seo, or whatever, but what about generally static sites, what do they do if they dont want to add mainly irrelevant content to their site just to hope others link to it, they go out and build links themseleves, and they soon find that those prospective links they are after are judging them on their sites pr. Blah blah blah I could go on all day, but you get the point, dont get obsessed but dont belive its null and void either.
Looking at 6500 backlinks is very good. But, are you sure that all those are arriving from valid sources? If there are several websites or blogs which are flagged by Google and your backlink is arriving from them, then Google decides something else. Well, thats how the algorithm works.
Yes surely you can expect an PR increase dude But it won't add any value targeted traffic always make more sense and $$$$ so try to get more traffic (targeted)
