I want to edit this logo can inkscape do it? If so how? It has to be the same size or it will throw the whole template out of wack. Thanks in advance!
you can only EDIT it if it's a vector, and you can create or modify vectors at any size - they are scalable by definition! You can make a vector, and save it at perfect quality at any number of sizes you want! Yes, Inkscape can do it.
So does that mean I'll have to create a new document with it in inkscape and then save it. Then open the document in inkscape and start editing it? Please forgive my inexperience. Thanks! Rep added for previous reply.
it depends on how you want to edit it - you CAN simply open that document in Inkscape and it will have the correct size proportions already set for you, you just draw what you need to on top and re-save. Or yes, you can create a new document with the same size. Either way when you save it as an SVG, you are saving an editable copy you can go back into and edit later. If you want to save it for web, you need to save it using the Export dialog, Control-Shift-E There you can choose what you want to export, what size, what image format, and where you want to save it to. Hope this helps, I routinely load up Inkscape to do simple things Adobe Illustrator just can't handle....
