    Hi

    I have a client that has been left high and dry by his Drupal web designer. My question is that I need to make some fairly basic SEO changes to the HTML of the site. Can I do this using my usual text editor (Aptana) without affecting how the site works?

    Yes, this can be easily done via looking into the theme files.

    Depends what SEO stuff you need done, maybe there are modules for it.

    The basic page layout of your site comes from the page.tpl.php file in your chosen theme's folder.
