Can I run other ads along with adsense ads? Say my own services or someone other's ad?

depends on what type of ads.. you can use adbrite ads but you cannot use biadvertiser ads.
you can use other ads like kontera

Indeed, make sure that you read the AdSense Programme Policies and the Terms & Conditions carefully.

If I remember right, you're not allowed to use other contextually generated ads on a page that contains AdSense. That is, you can't use another ad service that serves up adverts based on the content of your page (like AdSense does).
