Hi DP Members, I had a question here to ask I had a website with let say a series of meta tag in A website Can i use back the same meta tag with same website content in B website URL? which is A url , B url , C url had the same website content same meta tag will Google allow it, will it get panalty? thanks
Using the same meta tags in different web pages (or sites) will never hurt you, but the same content used at different sites can cause you duplicate content penalty (unless you're linking to the original source of the content).
nope, let say my site is www.etarragon(.)com and i might create new domain so call www.newwebsite.com the new url will have the same content as it will it affect my first url ranking position? thanks
Nope... but your new website (2nd url) might get the duplicate content penalty, resulting in no (or very low) ranking.
Meta tags are quite useless nowadays; please utilize it in developing useful content for your visitors. Regarding your question, having more than one cached version of same content can land you in troubles.
same meta tags may never penalize your concerned website but make sure you do not use the same content!!
