Hello everyone !. I am having phpld free version. In that, i can create only categories. But i can't create subcategories. Is there anyway so that i can create sub categories.

If phpld free version doesn't support this, tell any other free directory script like phpld.

I'm not sure about phpld but we have had a free directory script out for a few years now and you can create subcategories fairly easy.

Free Directory Script - Site Sift Listing http://scripts.site-sift.com/

I'm sure there are also other scripts out there that can do what you need for free.

Good luck with your new project.

There must be something wrong, you can create subcats with the free version too.

Are you selecting a top category as a parent for the subcategories?

You can create sub categories in free phpld for sure. If you can't then there must be some problem installing script. If you face same problem after reinstalling then ask about this issue at their own support forum phplinkdirectory.com/forum/. You will get quick and positive response there for sure.

    DON.

    hey brother.

You can get the subcategories in the free version too. If you are not able to get it done then you can check for support they do provide email support for any issues or you can ask anyone in the services or design forum to install it for you. Many helpfull guys are here online who are ready to help other forum members.

Good to see someone creating a unique category structure for once :) Keep up the good work :)

BTW it's "I have phpld free version" not "having" ;)

For phpld free version you can create new subcategories and define subcategory name, URL and description. Click on 'Directory -> Categories' and then click on 'New Category' button besides' 'New Symbolic Category' :)

When you click on 'New Category' you can make it a sub category by defining a 'Parent' anything other than 'Top' :) I hope this helps.
