So I bought a domain two weeks back, purely for an experiment. I put up a Wordpress CMS and left it as the default theme. Also activated a Stats plugin to track visitors. The domain is http://quickitme.com (a common misspelling of quicktime.com). It actually gets averagely 15-35 visits a day. I was wondering if there was any way to actually make money off of this. It's not like Quicktime has an affiliate program or whatever. If not, that's cool. I wasn't expecting anything out of this anyway. Thanks.
Maybe make it a quicktime hacks, fixes, updates, tweaks, videos site. It will hopefully keep the visitors interested if you have something in relation to quicktime. If you really want to make money of this, then don't paste ads all over the webpage there, you will scare the visitors away in a second and they will enter the correct url, instead give them something interesting with slight targetted ads.
You could park it and let it slip into obscurity like most domains. 15-35 really isn't enough to do much with, but like anything else it is a start.
slam it full of ads, hijack their browsers, popup until their browser bleeds, forward them onto oblivion.....
Google offers a parked domain service that is part of your adsense account. So you could use google adsense parked domain service to and run ads on it. That way you do not have to update the wordpress CMS, you do not have to post articles - google will take care of everything.
