Is this the right forum for YouTube? I don't see it on the list by name so assume the Google one is OK? I want to make sure.
Well, thanks....I did launch this slideshow video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMqttE96Mds and my main question is the URL. How do they get those "peronal" or vanity URL's? Such as my preference for this would have been: Youtube.com/cartoons or some such similar ending URL. Is it possible to still change it? Not onlyy that, is there a way to get it some "instant" publicity? Like listing it on another forum or site that focuses on videos? Thanks for any in-depth feedback....
Most of the time there is no need for something like that as you can hyperlink the video link with a relevant anchor tag/text. Best of luck with your YouTube promotion, there is still tad GOOD money to be made with it .
Thank you rovad...really appreciated hearing that. On my main site, do you think that would benefit linking it via a properly worded title="cartoon portfolio" keyword link?
Sure, why not, I would also recommend visiting Google Keyword Tool and looking for some keywords with a decent search volume and trying to rank your video for those.
Now you're cooking with gas rovad....just a quick question: when you say "look for keywords with good search volume", you mean since my slideshow relates to cartoons? So should I seek "cartoons"? Or, what would you search for? Do they necessarily have to pertain to, or deal with what the subject of my slideshow is about? Your constructive criticism would be great to hear....
Of course, keywords need to be related to the subject of your video. Since your videos is about cartoons, then it's logical move to go with the keywords and phrases relating to cartoons as well. When you find your keywords, then all you need to do is make sure that same keywords are in the title of the video (you can upload the same video with different name/title) and tags.
