can i create a website like this with joomla?

    i really like the design of those two sites and i was going to create a site from scratch but i want to know if joomla will do the trick for me...

    just use PHP and CSS and you come along way !

    Yes, that is possible in Joomla.
    1. You can achieve the look and feel with a good template if you can do one or buy a custom one - themesclub dot com.
    2. Or you can achieve the look with any template with ijoomla component - News Portal component. Check the directory on joomlacrib dot com for the site.
