thanks for telling. So does that mean it's legal to just share those trailers? Or just that they WON"T catch you but it is illegal act?

i think there could be some copywrite issue. if you are running adsense on it, i suggest you contact adsense and confirm. you don;t wanna get your adsense account in jeopardy

It is legally copyrighted material owned by the studios. So is it illegal? Without the consent of the studio producing the trailer it is. Now it is a different question as to whether they care or not about stuff like this.

I don't see why it would be illegal. You wont show all the movie , simply a trailer so the ones that will benefit are the film producers (as they will get sales)

If you would show full movies then you might have had problems as other stations are paying to get the rights to show on TV

    Good Luck

I think this is where most people run into problems. Just because it doesn't seem like it would be illegal, does not mean that it isn't. Yes posting movie trailers would probably actually be beneficial to the film studios... but this doesn't change the fact that this is copyrighted material that a company owns. I expect the chances of getting in trouble over something like this is very slim, but again... there is the chance.

Also just a quick note... Pixar is one studio that is extremely fussy when it comes to you using their trailers. This is only because they want to control the environment in which it is released. Usually they will only allow a select few such as Apple + the movies website feature the trailer.

    You need to seek permission.

If you didn't create it, you need permission. That goes for images, artwork, articles, etc.

You'll need permission from the copyright holder to post the trailers. Additionally, you can lose your Adsense account.

"Website publishers may not display Google ads on web pages with content protected by copyright law unless they have the necessary legal rights to display that content."

Not only can you lose your adsense account, but they can make you repay every dollar you earned through it back to them.
