You can't do it using the WYSIWYG, learn HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL (computer language kinda things) and go to Dreamweaver code view and code it. Only way to do it in Dreambeaver.

Yeah you can but it makes no sense since there's many blog programs like Wordpress.

heh, this could be embarassing :)

Do you mean can you make a blog in Dreamweaver, and edit it in Dreamweaver etc? Or make a blog SCRIPT in Dreamweaver?

If you mean making and editing in Dreamweaver then yes, it's easy as pie. Just make your site save the files and upload them either through another program or Dreamweavers built in features. When you write a new blog entry you just have to remember to update your links to show the new post. This is the big problem with static page sites, it can get tedious and months or years down the line, when you have hundreds of posts, any kind of fundamental change like design, would be a massive job.

If you mean making a blog script, I'm sure you could do it in Dreamweaver but no more easily than you could in Notepad. I'm guessing if your asking this question you don't have the coding knowledge to do it in Notepad so I would say no you can't do it in Dreamweaver, but I'm not completely up on its features. This is the possibly embarassing part, I have Dreamweaver CS3, but only because it came with the Creative Studios package. I basically use it for it's code features, such as showing CSS properties and automatically ending tags, I've never even looked at anything else in the program so maybe it has some features that could help (I'm at work so can't check)

Assuming it doesn't, If you want a proper blog script I'd try Movable Type or Wordpress.

Crawler, what beagrie said is true... You can do it in dreamweaver. Both 'personally editing d pages' n 'script'.
If you're editing d pages yourself, it's exactly the same as when you create a site. BUT, if you're creating a script, you have gotta hv basic knowledge on programming languages like PHP, ajax, asp etc. Other than that, you can't create the script even if you know html.

You might wanna use wordpress though.

Thanks guys for the feedback, posted this at 3am, totally brainfried. Have been playing with word press, but decided to try a different more static style of article layout with the site. let see how that goes.
I have an established blog through blogger, but I am over using that service. I like to be original and blogger is just too generic. Wordpress has some possibilities though.

I have done alot of sites in a WYSIWYG Dreamweaver CS3, I know some code but, basically use the Dreamweaver to do all my sites. I have a blog in WordPress with a downloaded template, but would like to make my own theme. I need to know if it is possible to go into Dreamweaver and make a theme and upload it to Wordpress?

I have the Adobe Web Premium CS3 which includes Contribute, I can just make a site and update it daily through Contribute without going through Dreamweaver, which makes it easier for daily entries. But, how can someone comment on it and is that considered a blog??

hehehe.. you can create spreadsheets in word and type memos in excel.. but why punish yourself? I'd rather use wordpress than creating blogs on dreamweaver.

For me wordpress is the way to go, you can grab a theme or even create your own there. There are a few theme generators out there on the web. You can then decide on which functions to use and which to leave out. You want it more static, just pull out all the php and leave it at that.

I heard that you can use Artisteer software to create blog template to sell or for yourself to use. Unfortunately, Dreamweaver didn't have any feature to export your template into blogger template at all, that is bad!!!

Why go to all the hassle when you could simply use something like Wordpress.

agree. if you just need to create a blog, just use the existing blog platforms like wordpress or even blogger. don't try to reinvent the wheel.
