Can I Create a Beatles Website?

    I love the Beatles and want to create a website about them. Is there any legal issues regarding this in general (or posting lyrics) if I state that they are owned by Apple corps.

    Lyrics are copyrighted and you need to purchase rights to display them. If your site is a true non-commercial fan site (not going to run advertising, accept donations, charge for membership - take in any type of revenue) then your usage of images may fall under fair use - otherwise, you will need permission to use any photographs you do not own. Most images of the Beatles are not owned by them, they are property of the photographer. Apple Corps isn't the one that could sue you for a usage fee, it's the photographer or someone they have sold the images to.
