Can I Change the Ads Which Display On my Blog?

I'm very new to adsense. I put together a blog on blogger on cooking, put up some recipes targeting some decent keywords and trends, bookmarked it, signed up for an adsense account and linked it to blogger, and hoped for some clicks on my blog.

The problem is I've been checking on my blog for about a week now and the ads which appear on it have nothing to do with cooking or my keywords/topics. It seems to me that I'd get a ton more clickthrus if the ads displayed were related to my blog, is there any way I can change the ads to reflect this?

No, you cant choose the ads.
Anyway, try add more keyword or change the ads placement

I thought I did pretty well using my keyword, and the entire blog entry is about cooking (ingredients and directions for a recipe).

Is it that i'm just not using enough keywords or do the ads never reflect your content, because I feel like everyone's losing on a great deal of money this way.

    - adsense crawler will take some time to decide to show the best ads
    - the ads shown to you are not the same for everyone, adsense decides about showing the ads on user behavior.
    - keep adding the valuable content to your site and the same niche ads will be shown to visitors over the time.
