You would be wise to ask the AM of that particular program. However, I do know a few programs that clearly state do not sign up just to use your own link. (ie - BodyBuilders.com)
I see. I was thinking of buying this perfume online and I'm wondering if I can purchase it from my own affiliate link.
i dont think it would be a big deal. Im not promoting it, I wouldnt like someone doing that to me if I had a product but w/e, but I dont think you will get in much trouble or anything.
When reading the terms, conditions and policies, I found that they encourage you to purchase something using your own hoplink in order for you to see how the system works. Beyond this, I didn't find anything contrary to purchases using your own hoplink. Hope this helps, This can very much depend on what type of emails you are sending. If they are for an online store for example then a html catalogue is the way to go in my opinion. Generally anything that might display products or need pictures I'll send as html. Anything else goes out as text. Hope this helps, Ann
It totally depends on the situation. As an affiliate, I think we all have a solid case that if there's a promotion, why should we have to give someone else the commission for the promo code or offer as a punishment for promoting the site. That's why I think most advertisers who appreciate our role in the industry and business agree it's ok to get rewarded for our loyalty. The problem comes in when the ability to self-generate leads and sales is abused by gready publishers. Some signup for or complete a simple action to generate countless false leads. In other cases where a repeated action triggers a commission - possible multiple times - the publisher takes the action to the extreme, using insider knowledge of the progran to generate an unreasonable number of commissions. Ultimately, it's usually more than ok but it can't hurt to ask. I feel you'll be fine - even if you err - with the exception of unreasonable profits from your own leads or something that appears to be click fraud. Good luck to you!
