Can I build a site on tripod and then tranfer it to another host?

    Well, the thing is that it's easy to build a website with tripod but i don't want the domain mywebsite.tripod.com . So is it possible for me to build the website completely using tripod webbuilder and then transfer it to my own .com domain . Plz help guys

    I expect that the Tripod site builder software is copyrighted.

    On the other hand you own your content and can take it where ever you want.

    HTML is really easy. A little secret is that any site builder will dump tons of code into your website which makes it harder for Google to index your site. It is not fatal but it can't help, particularly when you are just starting and Google barely notices you anyway.

    Anyway Netscape has a site builder: "composer" (under "tools") which has the basics, including spell check, and there are lots of free software site builders. GL.
