If there is a high PR high-authority site that has a keyword pointing at my site, can I benefit from getting them to add an additional anchor-text keyword? Example Site A, the authority on Cat Food, has a link titled Cat Food that points at my site. Site A also ranks high for Cat Chow. If I get them to also have Cat Chow anchor text pointing at my site, will it also help me rank for Cat Chow? Thanks
Yeah. If you are using a certain keyword in an anchor text, your site will surely rank for that keyword.
Yes, it will definitely help you when it comes to rankings because those are related to your topic. But it does not necessarily mean that when you have your anchor text over there you'll going to ranked well when it comes to SERP. Its not that easy.. of course you should also acquire many links with that anchor text as many as you can like joining to forums and have your signature with those particular keywords.
agree with you.. you can use your anchor text as your keyword.. it is for better ranking to search engines..
Every anchor text is valuable, it will help you, but try not to do to much of linking in one page, for example 3 links is still good, but if you make 10 keywords linking to your website it will look like spam, so it will give you more negative result than positive. Also google panda/penguin likes recommendations, so if you will get anchor text etc.: "click here to see it" it will be + for you.
When you link different keywords to your website with anchor tags, it will definitely help in attracting traffic.
yes No doubt it will be beneficial to you, more back links always good for you.. so without hesitation you can go ahead..
All great advice. Vary the anchor text, try to get in-content links on different pages on the site--perhaps the home page and some internal pages with PR. Also consider linking to different pages on your own website.
