can i add one more HARD DISC(500gb as slave) without trouble?

    i have 450 watts power supply with my pc.
    athlonX2 250,500GB HDD,3GB RAM,Asus motherboard,512 mb GEOFORCE 8400GS graphics card.
    The said power supply is came from ZEBRONICS BILJEE cabinet.

    can i add one more HARD DISC(500gb as slave) without trouble?
    power supply is enough?

    That more 500 GB HDD might work but dont' take risk... instead use external 500 GB HDD it'll work for your by paying few buks extra....

    No i don't think there is any problem in using 500 HDD as slave it doesn't matter that you are 500 or above HDD it will work properly and external is much better because it has a separate power cable but your PC performance will be slow.

    ^ Wondering if any of the other two posters know anything about computers?!

    Anyways, you can add a 500GB HD in with no problem. You just have to find out what type of drive you will need (IDE / SATA). Your motherboard is probably going to be SATA. Installing new SATA drives are very easy, no jumpers are needed.

    You might want to also consider getting teh 500GB drive as an external USB drive instead. I've come to LOVE my external drives over internals. They're very small and light, and you can take them with ya anywhere you go. 500GB is a WHOLE LOT of portable space. :)

    First make sure that your mother board supports 1000GB HDD. If not, you might have to update BIOS to make it compatible.

    i have installed additional 500gb hard disk in 5.25'' bay since there is no slot free in 3.5'' bay.
    Its working fine now.
