hello, Login to your wordpress account, in the Appearance menu click Editor, then click on footer.php or header.php (now, google recommends to insert it in header) and insert the code.
In Wordpress, go to the administrative panel where you install new plugins. Search for this plugin and install it "Google analytics". You can set the options for Google analytics here. You can also link your existing GA account to this plugin. I use this plugin and it works.
