Can HDFC International Debit card verify Paypal?

    Hi guys,one of my friend got his HDFC Mastercard International Debit card and will be activated in 3 days, so my question is can this card verify Indian Paypal account?

    If its works out HDFC is probably gonna have a mad rush of new account..
    By the way...did he require a PAN card??
    Or was he travelling abroad that he got a int. debit card from HDFC?

    Nope. I have also HDFC bank International Debit Card with me and already tried for paypal verification but they only accept credit card for indian paypal verification :rolleyes:

    True I am also having same card!!!
    No chances what so ever!!! Doesn't works for online shopping also!!
    Some says visa one works(i have master) ..... I am too lazy to visit branch for a card change request!!!

    No need to visit your branch as i have one International Debit Card with VISA logo on it but it also not useful for this :rolleyes:

    Paypal does nt accept debit card and hence register any credit card with visa/master/Amex logo with paypal.

    I think its about time Paypal should accept Indian Debit Cards (International ones) as now even bank accounts are merged with paypal... so why not Debit Cards?

    HDFC visa card debit card is wat i hav and hdfc provides netsafe feature to create a vcc and verify ur paypal account ...

    I can 100% tell you through my experience that inorder to get your paypal verified you need a credit card and not a debit card, even if your debit card has a master card logo or visa card logo. Credit card is the only right option.
