Well at this time to beat Facebook is not an easy task even for Google also.Lets see how much time it will take.
Well, I don't think that is too late or something like this. The idea "do the same but better then other competitors" is works
it's very difficult to differentiate untill such time the google + launch, all i can say is that google has always a unique system but it does'nt mean it well defeat facebook. For me it doest matter who is on top all important is we enjoy and connected to everyone else.
There is no market sharing in the SNS market. As previously proven by the rise & fall of Friendster, MySpace and Orkut. If Google wants this segment, it is going to need to bust out something new, Google Hangouts isn't going to cut it. Facebook is reaching its peak, but its recent collaboration with Skype will also draw alliance with Microsoft. It's a tough battle for Google.
i don't think people will start using Google plus some feature like group video chat, what google should know is Facebook is not only about friends , it is also about app (i know some hate it but some games are fun) and pages specially of artist pages or product pages that keeps people updated..
It won't be a fail such as Buzz but if it will beat Facebook? Depends on the plans/roadmap of Facebook I think but also the gamedevelopers. Google is very busy to integrate all their services in one thing. If Google offers all their top products as: Android, Search, TV, Youtube, Blogger, Picassa, Maps, Chrome (Browser), Chrome (OS), Docs, Gmail etc. WITH games like Facebook now have (Google is currently setting up an gaming division). Then I certainly do think they will beat Facebook. Not within a few months or a year but in 3-5 years it will be the biggest social network at least if Facebook does not team up with Microsoft. Just think of when Myspace was hot and popular no one predicted it would collapse and that Facebook would grow.
I sure hope to see Google plus dominate, just want to wait and see how much different it will really be from Facebook. I expect to see great things.
Google+ even looks like Facebook, except with a whiter background. Frankly, it's embarrassing for Google. If the way we share information on the web is as broken as Google says, it does no good to tweak a few of Facebook's annoyances and pitch it as a revolution.
Google plus will improve in no time and will be competing with facebook. For now, its nowhere beating facebook, facebook still got it going but Google will soon catch up.
