Can Google plus beat facebook?

Google Inc said to release the complete version of Google plus, a social networking site., can it beat the all time best social networking site Facebook

 

Sorry! but Google plus will never be able to catch facebook. http://www.novisystems.com , a online survey software service provider has recently done this survy and around 70% users who are using both Facebook and Google plus are happy with Facebook. Maximum of them has raised the issue of security in Google Plus, it's not so scured as Facebook.

 

I can't see Google+ beating facebook. In my view the only people using and active on Google+ are marketers who are being forced to use Google+ by Google due to its integration into search results and ranking factors. Your everyday man in the street uses facebook and hangs out on facebook because everyone they know does.

 

Google + is going to end up like Google Buzz and Google Sidewiki and the host of other products that Google has attempted to ram rod down our throats. People are simply not using Google + and that is a fact! They signed up but they never used it.

As a matter of fact, even the top brass at Google are not using it and that sums up how bad it really is.

 

I don't think Google plus can beat facebook.

 

I'd like to believe that Google+ will beat Facebook, but sadly this wont happen unless Facebook gets taken down (which obviously will not happen).

 

Some day they will defeat Facebook. G+ attracts people over the world like a storm.

Hmmm, Google+ still seems strange to me. Facebook is pretty fast and they constantly change and add new their features to keep their people interested. So NO.

 

If we see the current stats, i can say NO. But, in the future it may beat the facebook by changing or upgrading Google+ with more unique and catchy features.

 

Google is the giant but very manipulative and monopolistic. But like with phones they are a very late entrant in the social drama.
I guess it'll take a long time before they're able to take heads on with FB or even Twiter/

I have seen this question so many times on diffrent forums. i dont know what our concerned is with this ..... in my views its not easy to beat facebook who is already established and no. 1 this time.it will not going to happen in next 3 years from now . google+ is very child in the competition with facebook there are many good websites like pinterest ,chime.in , myspace etc.

 

In year or two - of course G+ will not beat FB. But in long distance - 5 years and more. Maybe. It depends on marketing strategies and Google efforts.

 

FB has a great ability of adapting so its hard to tell whether or not this google+ can top it. although i bet no one thought that FB would become bigger than my space but there you go.

 

No. Facebook is King of Social Networking, But google + also improve.

Haha, yup! They already bought YouTube and Facebook could be next. Maybe, in a few years (if the demand for Facebook declines), someone will come up with a realistic appraisal for Facebook and Google will buy it. I don't think Google can handle social networking very well. Google already tried to create a social network twice in the past and both times it was a flop. Check out this Google Buzz parody video that I stumbled on a couple years ago. Really funny!
