Can Google penalize my Songs lyrics website ?

    Hello All,

    I recently launched Songs lyrics website that contain various songs lyrics. As we all know that the songs lyrics can't be change. Can Google penalize my Songs lyrics website ?

    Hi,
    the only problem you are likely to run into is that your site may not rank very well because song lyrics will usually be published on a large number of sites. So that means unless you have significant amounts of additional unique content on your lyrics pages these will likely be relegated to Google's supplementary index (i.e. they won't rank or won't rank well because they are duplicate content).

    You should let users be able to post comments because that is seen as unique content.
