css drop down manus are absolutely no problemo Unless you use java or flash or other weirdness to achieve drop down effect, it should be OK. You can always check out cached version of your page and see what google bot can see. That will tell you
I'll have to agree. Most of the popular websites today have drop down menus in CSS, and you see them as "authority" websites. And if you're an authority website, you know you're doing something right. Plus, I've always found CSS menus amusing. Rollovers are the single best addition to web design in the very history of web design. First thing I do when I see one is play with the rollover effects
Get the Firefox web developer addon, then disable all CSS Style. Everything you see will be readable by the Google crawler. Cheers
yes. even flash and image content are being indexed now. pretty soon you'll be able to search for morgan freeman and an image with him it will show up - regardless of the html page or image filename ..
Google indexes all what is in HTML-view of your page, but, there are a lot of problems with ajax. Google can't see dynamic content.
Google spiders have always pretty much followed anything that is in an href tag. Not only that, the spiders will generally try to index urls in forms or anywhere it sees an http:// That's because Ajax code doesn't show at the document loading time.
Blogger blogs also offer drop down option , i think google must have indexing them too . Any expert your view on that or we should not use drop down in blogger .
My advice would be to never use Blogger, that is, unless you like Google tracking your every movement. It costs less than $50 per year to buy a domain and get a HostGator hosting account. If anybody thinks they're going to get someting for nothing, and make money from a free blog, you're sadly mistaken. All you do when you use a free Blogger blog is let your content be used to drive more hits to Google. Plus, nobody in their right mind would ever buy ad space on a blogger blog.
Yes, absolutely. Drop down menus are no problem for Google or any other search engine. Even *I* can scrape drop down menus. Bompa
