It's against Google's terms to buy/sell one, but you may want to check eBay if you really want to buy one.

they're really not worth nearly as much as they used to be, they're everywhere. hang around SEOChat or something (or maybe even here) and someone may give you one if you look hard enough.

It's been fairly reliable - sometimes not available, but rare. You can NOT change the username after you get it, so choose wisely. Google recently changed the TOS so you are not supposed to be able to profit from selling/bartering 'em.

I can't give one away to you (haven't got any new invites in about 3 weeks) ... but I've been having a "clickfest contest" over at the team powder2glass google compute page ... in fact, there is one going on right now ... and I'll make the invite available 30 minutes after the timestamp on this post.

Buying and selling gmail ACCOUNTS violates the GMail TOS but buying, selling and giving away INVITES doesn't :)

Google can easily skim ebay and ban names that are being sold so be careful

I believe it's always been legal to buy/sell invites just not gmail accounts.
I bid on 250 on another forum not too long ago, then let them all expire but 1 haha.

If you had been here a week ago I had 12 invites. I'm afraid they have all gone. I should have some more invites soon though. There's plenty of people with gmail accounts on DP and I'm sure there will be loads of spare invites floating around.

Why would people buy a free email account? Gmail isn't that great.
