i have doubt about url link structure .i started a website but want to know is url structure makes better seo result.Tell me clear idea about url structure

 

URLS Should: Use hyphens to separate words when necessary for readability. They should not use underscores, spaces, or any other characters to separate words.

 

Hyphens in URL structure is most widely used. Use targeted keywords in your URL and try to maintain the length as short as possible.

 

A SEO friendly URL’s should’ve the follow qualities-

1. Try to make your url short. Like: if I’m writing an article about latest on-page SEO techniques 2016 then my preferable url should be yourwebsite.com/on-page-seo-techniques.html or yourwebsite.com/on-page-seo.html

2. URL must contain your targeted keywords, like here my targeted keyword is on-page seo.

3. Avoid ugly url structure, that don’t have any meaning. Like: yourwebsite.com/p=54

4. Avoid long url or more forward slash (/) in url structure: yourwebsite.com/2016/8/6/cat=seo/latest-on-page-seo-techniques-2016.html

5. Try to make meaning full url like on-page-seo.html (hyphens always fine for urls word separator)

In this your, you can create a fully optimized and SEO friendly and more over user friendly URL’s structure.

 

Include Keywords in your URL's which is related to the particular page and separate all the words with hyphen(-).
