Can free blogs be automated?

    Hi, i want to have an automated blog but is it possible to make my blogspot or blogsome blog automatic?

    I found the plugin but it seems you have to upload it to the server....

    Im new in the blog world, if i choose in blogspot to use the external host option, i can get my blog at ej. (www.mysite.com/blog) but still host the database in their server?
