I want to buy http://****.us domain , in Yahoo and godaddy always asks if im citizen , US / Foreign organization which has office in states .. etc Does this mean that non US residents are not allowed to buy these domains ?
Yes. However, two workarounds are to use someone else's US-based details that you know or that of a "registration agent". Both have risks. Weigh them well.
But they will take this domains from you if they will find it, you must have us address in your whois...
Well.. I owned several .us domains and used an address in Europe for the whois.. Godaddy doesent mind.. However the domain can be taken away from you as somebody else mentioned.. Never happened to me though
good to know godaddy will let u register .us domains with and european address... aplus.net right out rejected me... i'll give godaddy a shot.
