I am trying to make it big on the internet with my shopping website/blog, I don't really need to show the URL but if it will help then here it is >> Click here I no i need to ger backlinks but how do i start people want page rank that is not important unique traffic is more important, If you have grow a business without spending much money then please share it with me so i can maybe follow in the same foot steps. DONT pm me with services offering a spot on your site of which i have to pay for i want to do it the free way like some of you have done.
My niche is shopping within the United Kingdom

Spend hours creating backlinks on sites such as qassia then tag your sites with del.icio.us and stummble/digg your site.

Invest in getting your website posted in PR 4 directories etc to get your PR rating up.

Write comments on blogs with your URL so that you create more links at higher PR sites.

Choose correct key words and key anchors as well that will best suit your site.

Write articles and submit them to article directories, submit your site to social bookmarking sites.

digg is the crazy site for backlinks

 

StumbleUpon is a great tool to use. It generates unique traffic and can expose your site to a lot of visitors that wouldn't have seen it otherwise.

 

StumbleUpon is definately GREAT for traffic. But the traffic is poor quality.

 

Yes, article marketing may help. There is great material on the web to get you started on that.

 

Looked up qassia and tried to sign up.

For the life of me I can't get past the first signup form. It always tells me I have failed to name the animal.

When it put up a picture of a rabbit, I tried:

rabbit
Rabbit
RABBIT
bunny
Bunny
hare
Hare

Same deal for the elephant, rhino, etc.

I also tried using different browsers (Safari and Firefox on Mac, IE and Firefox on Windows, Firefox on Linux), and different IP addresses (Malaysia, US, Germany).

Is it actually possible to get past that screen? Or is it just a scam for milking email addresses and passwords to use to try to hack other sites with?

 

If you need to grow your business then you need to have a good SERP ranking. Gathering more backlinks can increase your SERP ranking.

You're don't say whether you're just starting out or not - but I would go with any (as much as ) of the free stuff as mentioned; article submissions for instance. Keep an eye out in forum too, it's full of resource material from members.

I have started getting backlinks althoug google has not crawled my site since thw 22nd and i have updated it so much since then

 

Backlinks is definately a key thing you should do - Spend lots of time gaining backlinks and you'll see success in the long run

 

Where do i start is it expensive to get backlinks?
