can DP signature hurt your SERP ?

I have a signature link saying "free traffic counter" before I used this link in my signature my site was app. 12-13 on page 2 on google. Now I can't even seem to find my site anymore. Is this a result of me using the signature ?

 

This is no result of a signature link.

All signature links, unless specified by you, the user, are dofollow here on DP. Which means it actually fractionally adds to your PR/SERP.. (and nofollow wouldn't mean a loss either).

Putting a link in your signature will not to any damage to your SERPs.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I just can't understand why google doesn't like the site anymore. The only recent links to the site I can think of is from my DP signature. Hmmm.. guess I have to look for the problem elsewhere

 

Try re-building a network of backlinks...

It never hurts to submit your website to dofollow directories, etc.

yeah try start it again for backlinks and you can see the result and don't forget to take note's what are you doing step by step when you rebuilding a network of backlinks.

 

i checked, link here on dp are dofollow. and you have 63 posts.. google may update server. and i hope your site will get ranking back even better then previous.

 

Bear in mind that googlebot is unlikely to re-search over old posts anything more than to check that they're still there..

 

Not only will a sig file do no harm and quite a bit of good, but I also see no harm in the keyword you use.

One thing I have learned about seo is that if you stay low in the serps longterm it's always a function of the overall number and quality of your anchor text links.

DP posts are loved by Google and if you want the evidence just do enough searches and you'll start coming across DP Posts that rank beautifully

 

I do not think that forum signatures will do any harm for SERP.
It will be helpful to have a good SERP.

It's probably just a coincidence. If anything DP sig links will help your site in the search engines.
There is no way a DP signature would hurt your SERP, otherwise I would be linking my direct competitors

 

No chance .. DP signature links will boost ur site in SE.. not any harm....
Check may be any other problem .. also new site ( less 6 months) will be like that only will not get any constant position and some time wanish but after a week will be back

 

I don't think where your backlinks are coming from can hurt you. If this was the case people would simply link to their competitors sites.

you got to have another problem, and it's not related to DP at all.

 

I think it can hurt your rankings if you post enough with the same one. The anchor text is always exactly the same and the links all come from one domain.
