Can domain transfer affect your ranking?

    Hello guys.
    I want to transfer my domain from Yahoo to GoDaddy and curious if it can affect the website ranking? Also is there any down time when my website wont be live?

    Well I generally use 4-5 registrars and while transfering there is no downtime , the dns does not change and domain transfer does not effect your rankings.

    note: I don't use yahoo as a registar and had no experience with them.
