Like many others, I am interested in certain forums and have no interest in other forums.

Is there a way to block the display of selected forums, so that when you click "New Posts", threads from those blocked forums are not displayed?

Jim, I'm not sure if this can be done. However - if you go to the forum you like - for example directories > Click on the "Forum Tool" drop down menu and click on "Subscribe to This Forum".

When you go to the Spy page you can choose to only spy on your subscribed forums. That way you can see all the nice new posts and threads made in the forums of your choice. You can also subscribe via RSS if that helps. :)

Can't you just collapse the forum category? thats as good as blocking it, then you can just uncollapse it should you feel the need to look there. Of course that depends if there are any forums you like visiting in that particular category.

As far as i'm aware you can't block the display of certain forums, as I don't think this is currently supported in VBulletin.

If you subscribe to just the forums you are interested in, then under "Quick Links" you have options for New Posts, New Threads and Today's Posts just from forums you are subscribed to.

Thanks, Shawn. That's the solution I'm looking for.

EDIT: I just implemented Shawn's procedure. It works great and weeds out the clutter that is of no personal interest to me.

    As digitalpoint said.
I never use the 'New Posts' thing anyway, because half of its no interest to me.
