Does anyone here have any experience with DDOS Deflate? And if so, have you noticed it having an effect on the server performance?

A couple of months ago my hosting company put DDOS Deflate on the server. Ever since then, the response time has been getting slower and slower. I am wondering if the server getting slow is because of DDOS Deflate or something else.

Well, I am using it from the last one year never faced such problems, lets see what other suggest. But I don't think its because of Ddos deflate.

Likely its because of something else, all that DDoS deflate does is issue a netstat command, parse for anyone exceeding your set limit, and issue a firewall ban.

When you get DDoS'ed the some of the following will happen to your server if it does not have sufficient protection.

    * Logs will start to fill up and use up server GB of space.
    * Increase on CPU, RAM due to serving page to the bots.

The effects wont be long-term though and your server should return to normal once the bots have stopped attacking your website.
