Can CJ work for low traffic sites???

    Hi guys,

    Quick question,

I was going to try CJ on my site for a month - but the first reply was that CJ might not be the best choice for a site with low traffic.

I get about 7,083 pageloads a month, which makes me about $85 in adsense.

The site is a medical niche and is only based on a single product.

What do you think? Could CJ help me make more then i get with adsense, or should i just accept this site has reached its potential

    Cheers :)

    Well ,

Which type of traffic you have ?

Ex. From which country and how do you get that traffic
It all depends on the traffic quality

    Hi,

    Thanks for the help.

What do you mean by: "Which type of traffic you have ?"

I get most of my traffic from the UK, then some from the US.

My visitors all come from either google, or articles i wrote and put on article directories.

They find the site from long tail questions about the product.

They are only on the site for 1 reason - the product, and each visitor has a good look round the articles.

    I get like a 4.X% CTR

What do you think? is it worth trying CJ???

    Thanks again for the help

Since you're getting $85/mo on AdSense.. I think the potential is there. Work with CJ.. and promote the site. Try to increase the traffic, surely your amounts will rise.

Sure can. But You can post a product every day into a blog and before long you'll be getting more traffic and conversions. The niche is important that's for sure.

I think I've made a total of like $75 in 2 months from EBAY signups on a low traffic blog

Well, it really depends on which affiliate program you use and how helpful you are to your visitors? If your affiliate programs sells itself, is related to your website, and you truly believe it's a good product, then you will probably sell more.

You can make big $ w/cj on a low traffic site if:

    your traffic is very targeted
you are selling a high commision product
your merchant is honest & selling a desirable product

I've generally done many times better with cj than adsense over the years.

I have an extremely targeted blog (my first SEO test, all I ended up doing was getting 2 backlinks and making 5 or so blog posts 6 months back), and my commission was $90 from 1800 page views (1200 visitors). It'd probably be much more than that if the product that I built the blog around didn't close its affiliate program the month I made the blog (it's sending them free traffic, and there's just one affiliate link to a close competitor too). Target enough, and you can see better returns than with AdSense.

I'm a little confused. Are you an affiliate for this one product? If so shouldn't you be trying to get people to buy that one product (more than worrying about what other ads are on the site) ... It's really hard to help not seeing the site and seeing what you are talking about :)
