Can Bulk Directory Submission Destroy A Site?

There are many directory owners now who offer bulk directories submission services. Guaranteed. Can so many backlinks that appeared at no time cause suspicion from Google? Can it cause filters? Will it destroy positions?

Sometimes the submission services offer to spread it out over 'x' weeks also they should offer that you can give more then 1 or 2 titles.
If you would spread 200 submissions out over 4 weeks, I think it should be ok.

It depends on your submission type. Some of packages which is available here submit to every sites even FFA (Free For All) or link farm, which is easily identifiable by Google.

Directory submission still effective but you have to be natural in linkage profile. You have to

    - Vary title anchor text
    - Vary description text using for submission
    - Mix both low quality (bulk directory submissions) and high quality link (quality directory such as Joeant, Gimpsy and relevancy site which has an old age)
    - Avoid some spam network such as FFA, link farm to be included within submission package.

    Hi,
Well, I'd say you should use 5+ titles for such service and from my experience it can only help your serps (I have good examples).
The SE's scan those directories slowly anyway so it won't hurt

No problem because directories take their own time to list your sites...and google takes it own time to index those directories...

You can't really be penalized for incoming links. If you could, you could burn your competition by having them linked to on really bad sites.
You can be punished for outgoing links though.

What good results have you got from directory maximizer?
I just (2 days ago) order about 300 submissions from Directory Maximizer and als spread out over 4 weeks. Just wondering what I can expect.

    Thanks!

OK, Here is another point: Should you as well diversify categories (they can often have one and the same url)? Or that is of no matter?

I really don't like the bulk submitters just because they get a much lower percentage of approvals. It seems like a waste.

    How can it affect rankings?

If it did I would be signing up my competitors to the "submit to 1000's" services. Google know about that possibility and are not stupid.

Rubbish. Where are you getting your information from or are you making it up? Link farms are only a problem if YOU link to them, not the other way round.

Me thinks you need to go and read what Google employee have been saying for a long time. Problems only ever arise when YOU link to a bad neighbourhood (and not when they link to you). Otherwise we would simply add our competitors sites to link farms ...ever wonder why we don't waste our energy on that?

Why do you create confusion and fear in others? If you don't know how to answer the question, be quiet.

Have you ever thought about how easy it would be to wipe out competitors if what you said is true?

Bulk submission won't destroy anyone's website and it surely won't be banned by google. The worst thing that can happen is that google will devalue these links.
