they are good links and related? Getting a ton of unralted and spammy links might raise a flag down at the Google campus, but what if they are good and related links.
Well, it's not unnatural to receive 1000 backlinks per se. The thing is, you should grow your links at a natural pace, and you can speed it up, but gradually. So you can first build some 10 links per day, then 15, then 20 etc. Such a scenario would be natural. By contrast, getting some 10 links a day and then suddenly a hundred would raise a flag. But it's OK to get a thousand IBLs a day if this is your natural speed. Think MillionDollarHomepage, for instance. Did the guy get banned? Course not. Warkot
This is always a great question because you always get people who suggest stuff they've never ACTUALLY done. Getting a ton of backlinks from a decent amount of high quality sites is an EXCELLENT way for a new site to bypass the sandbox filter. I've seen it happen on several occasions. MSN & Y! both don't mind getting backlinks quickly and they'll reward you for it. Google won't matter because more then likely the links won't be high quality, or they'll be reciprocated, so you'll still be in the sandbox. Either way you'll be waiting. If you already have a site that's been around for a while and you wanna get links to it fast, that will be fine and I've seen my fair share of sites get fast rankings on domains that were 3+ years old.
Oh, let's hear it from a person who really knows his stuff. The tension is really killing me... OK, so what you're saying is this: (a) It's great to get a ton of high-quality backlinks (OK, that's a load off my mind), and... (b) ...it's great for new sites in Google, because this allows bypassing Google's sandbox, and... (c) ...it's also great in other search engines. Now you're saying that: (d) the links won't be high-quality, which contradicts (a), and... (e) therefore those links won't help you get around the sandbox, which contradicts (b) and... (f) the site actually gotta be old to benefit from a ton (what is it, like 1000kg?) of fast backlinks without getting into trouble, which, again, contradicts (b) and... (g) finally, Google won't matter after all (well yeah, Google is negligible, forget about it), which -- yet again -- contradicts (b). What can I say. You've really made a highly persuasive argument. I'm not having a go at you, your post just doesn't make a bit of sense to me logically, it's like bits and pieces of things. Warkot
If you are doing link building, keep your numbers conservative. If you go out and triple your links overnight in a non-natural way, then you will be penalized. Search engines usually do reward you for getting more links, but too many links CAN red-flag your site.
