It will be hard for Bing to beat Google however since Yahoo site explorer already acquired by Bing (we're no longer check the yahoo backlinks), I think bing is moving one step ahead. The yahoo backlinks were now replaced by bing backlinks. That's why I register almost all of my sites to bing webmaster tool.

Perhaps you guys want to take a look:
The reason I join the bing webmaster tools is to get more bing backlinks, but I'm still not sure.

To beat Google, Bing needs to do an effective algorithmic change. Currently Bing does not seem to produce accurate results.

Noi they can't... Although anything is possible, especially if google continue to aggrevate users then it is safe to say people will more than likely choose bing or yahoo for their search. For instance if your a fast typer like me then the new feature on google search is not relevant.. I am tired of google finishing my search before I have finished typing.. I prefer the traditional old skool search... All this feeling lucky stuff is pointless in my opinion......

As of now I can say nothing better than Google as a search engine. And since Google providing a lot of services(gmail, blogger, etc) and keeps busy in updating certainly it is still be the number one SE.

Bing will never beat Google unless they come up with something phenomenal. That won't happen, so Google all the way!

Bing and Yahoo became one sometime back in Dec. You should make the move to bing webmaster tools in order to get the best tools working for you at this point. I really don't have any faith in Bing being able to compete with Google. The margin is so wide already that it would take years and a good bit of luck to fill the gap.
