Hi everyone. I have a little struggle with Google and especially with MSN to index my pages. Google indexed about half of my pages, yahoo almost all but msn has indexed only one single page. I listed my site to the MSN business directory a half year ago but it did not help at all. I read somewhere that the cause of this might be that spiders sees my pages as spam and doesn’t index it. For example one of the reasons could be duplicated title in the Meta tags. Now I checked my codes and discovered that I always have two titles, one in the Meta name section and another one at the end. (See example bellow) I think because I always put the title in page properties general and the other under the custom tab. Can it be the cause that my site hasn’t been indexed by MSN? My site has a PR4 by Google and about half year old. Thanks for the advice and sorry for the long story. <meta name="keywords" content="HP inkjet printers, Hewlett Packard printers,Canon."> <meta name="description" content="Buy Hp or Hewlett Packard inkjet printers, and ."> <meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 6.0"> <meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document"> <meta name="Title" content="Buy cheap Hp or Hewlett Packard printers at 1printer-supply.com"> <meta name="robots" content="index-all"> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"> <meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en-us"> <title>Buy cheap Hp or Hewlett Packard printers at 1printer-supply.com</title> <style>
Well i found it took about 6 months before msn or yahoo would send me visitors and really be ranked. Google was pretty immediate but then ditched me. I think its all sandboxing and yahoo and msn have them too, so think you just gotta build backlinks and wait
I would remove <meta name="Title" content="Buy cheap Hp or Hewlett Packard printers at 1printer-supply.com">
I dont know what would exactly happen having that in there. But the way it should be is what your other title is. Having 2 of them cant be good.
