Can banned site be re-ad-ed?

A friend of mine used adsense a while ago, and got banned for putting one more adslot then allowed.
My question is, if i'm buying the website from him, can I place my adsense ads on it after it's legaly mine, without google banning me for 'past-activities' on that domain?

    Thanks.

is dangerous, when google ban, they ban ur name, ur web, url, ur payment address .... u can't used any method above to register a new adsense account (even ur mother name stay in the same add get ban too) ...
advice don't, u can try to ask at google forum, is again their TOS

if its more than a year or something. you can add it again.. but its better to try contacting google before applying.
if u make you question clearly they will be honest.

You just need to contact Adsense and tell them the site is under new ownership. Just send them a link to the whois listing (after you've added your name and address to it, that is)

    Yeah,
Google, unlike others will hear you and might unban if they find it right :)

    Send them an email.

Only Google can answer that definitively.

I had a personal experience on this
The situation was same as yours
My friend was using adsense on a very high traffic site and he got banned from publishing
I purchased that site because the traffic was heavy, but monetising with other ad systems was found difficult with that traffic, i already had an adsense account which was quite steady for 3 years, then i contacted adsense stating that i had purchased this site and would like to place ads, also made it clear in my email that the earlier publisher had been banned from adsense.

I got a reply that i can use ads on that site since the data i had provided as of having purchased was genuine (i presume they ran a check of domain ownership and transfer dates), but there was a rider that the site will be on check for few months to see whether the violations for which it was banned earlier do not reoccur again, i placed ads and it has been running for 15 months now without a problem
I think this should make it clear, the bottomline, better ask the pros (adsense help)

If you remove the reason of the ban .. it can be reindexed
