Can backlinks only do the Job?

    I have a dating site for a niche , i am targetting a keyword .. But considering on-page SEO is difficult for a dating site , i would like to know if only off-page , ie building related links for the dating site will be enough .

    Ceteris paribus, IMHO yes. Look at the contests that are going on. From what I gather it's all about back links.

    Why do you feel on-page SEO is difficult for a dating site ? Do you feel you dont have enough keyword targeted content?

    Just do a search for miserable failure in any of the search engines. That will tell you whether or not good backlinks are still important ;)

    On page SEO can help big time though. But links are still king. (IMO).

    It's best to do both, but you can succeed with only link building. I've had several top 10 rankings by accident, just by building links.
