Can Ask become a power search engine?

I think their makeover is good and appealing but to catch the attention of webmasters on DP they have to have a good search algo. and good search quality. From what I've searched on their site, they have neither. They'd be better off buying the google search hardware from their google for like, $500,000, and then going to some distant, undiscovered market, like Argentina or something, because with search quality like that, they aren't getting anywhere.
