Can Articles Develop Web Power over Time

Hello, before i really knew about optimising articles, i had wrote around fifty unique and niche based articles for my ezine account.

I don't pull in much views, only now have i began optimising for my work.

My question is, are these pre-optimised articles dead in the water, or can they build themselves up with age on the internet, i have noticed natural links have began pointing to these articles.

Yet i know time is very important on the internet, and was hoping this work was never wasted.

Can they develop web power, yes or no.

    Thank you

James, as long as those articles stay on the Internet they will be pointed to your website if you have a link on them to them to your site. It is also good to show that your website constantly have fresh new content. But do not just focus on search engines. Build a list from the organic traffic, in that way you retain the people and can market to them over and over again. Even if your site lose google ranking. I would assume that all seo work is wasted work, because the search engines can change their algorithms at any time. After all, search engines don't care about you, and will only start caring when you take out your wallet and buy some ppc adverts that gets clicks. That is why when I do seo, I always focus on building a list from that, and then I sell to that list. But I never directly sell on my websites from search engines. In fact, If you look at my sites, they look like they are loaded with valuable content with nothing to buy. And users get more valuable content being on my list. However I do not discount the fact that I did get sales from articles and natural traffic directly, but this is not my focus.

In my case, I want to be able to control the process, and give the least power to google.

If they are good, then they will get published, if they get published they get backlinks and with backlinks comes power.

Ezinearticles respond very well to a few backlinks.

Create backlinks to a few of the more popular articles. For example, you can create links to them in forum signatures.

Give it some time. It would be helpful if your article offers ideas unique on the Internet. Articles with new perspectives are more likely to be valuable than repeating information that is already there.

I think the point of articles is that they should be written to be timeless. If you write about a topic, you can write about a specific software program, product or company, but then it may be out of date soon, but if instead you write about the ideas and fundamentals behind that topic, it will bring in traffic and still be good in a year.
