Can anyone tell me what is email marketing?

I dont know is it the right place to ask this question or not..
I hope so..

I have heard about an Email Marketing.. Can anyone explain in detail what it is?

 

Email marketing is the act of gathering a subscriber list based on a certain niche, building a relationship with them, and then selling products/services to them.

Email marketing is the biggest form of online money I've found to date.

 

Is that legal?
I mean can you post it to a group?

 

If they double-opt in, through something like aweber, it's TOTALLY legal.

 

Email Marketing is a great mean to generate huge profit, if you opt-in your visitors.
It is totally legal because visitor subscribe to your newsletter and gives you a permission to send them emails.
